Reflection on Where We Are!

Please write a brief response to both of the following prompts. Try to at least glance at what your peers say and, if possible, respond to them. This is due by Sunday at 9:30.

Prompt 1: How does it feel to be a senior? Is it very different than being a junior? Are you feeling stressed about colleges or whatever post-graduation life turns out to be? Do you feel like you imagined Seniors felt when you were a lowly ninth grader? Reflect on how your year has gone so far.

Prompt 2: Write down something nice (and respectful) about at least one other student at Lansing.

Good start Jacqui. I think you'll be able to graduate for sure. Also, none of you should give up on college just yet. There are scholarships available and student loans are probably worth it in the long run...

Brandon actually wrote this but he "posted" it, rather than "commented" it. . . .

Being a senior to me means the last year of being tied down. Now that i am in my senior year i feel that most of school should be taken a little bit easier and i should enjoy my outside of shool life more. College doesnt have me stressed out because it is just anouther stepping stone on the way to the top. I didnt think much of what my senior life would be like when i was a freshman.

Rusty Landon is a very fast sprinter for track.

Prompt 1: Eh... I havnt felt much different this year, but maybe thats because the year just started. Theres still alot of school left an time for that "senior" feeling to set in. As a freshman I dont realy think I was ever thinking about how life would be as a senior. So far the senior year has been pretty good and not too hard, but weve only completed are second week so..... As for colleges n such. Im not realy stressed at all because I'm not all that worried about where i get in. As long as its a place I wanna go itl be alright, and all the places im goin to aply are places i wanna go and im bound to get in one of them.

Prompt 2: Lucas Heffron is a good soccer player.

#1 Wow, I knew this quetion was coming... senior year so far hasn't been all it is cracked up to be. Sure I am older than everyone and "wiser", but nothing has really changed. My schedule isn't any easier and so far it doesn't look like the teachers are going to go any easier on us. One thing that is annoying is the college crap, everyone wants to know, where are you going, what are you going for, are you doing sports, blah blah blah... I know people are trying to be helpfull or whatever, but i think there should be a rule that you have to wait until graduation to ask a senior where they are going!

#2 I disagree with Ryan, everyone knows the coolest kid ever is Nolan "Noodles" Milliman ;-)

I have to agree with Rusty on this one. Senior year has felt no different for me. It just feels like another year of school. I dunno...maybe it will kick in once the year is close to getting over...but not right now. Its seem that a lot of people are excited to get out of high school, including myself, but i think that im gonna miss the high school life. The most annoying thing is all the questioning about the college future. I agree with Rusty's rule on the no asking part. When i was a freshman i dont remember thinking about being a senior more than i did about getting used to high school. But anyways senior year is going pimp nasty.

As for prompt numero 2, Rusty is wrong and Matt Ford is the coolest person. He is a pimp and has mad game.

It feels different being a senior. All the sudden it seemed that people started to notice me more and know who i was, and knowing me as a swimmer. When i was a junior i wasnt as well known it seemed. I finally met new people and have become friends with a lot of people but now that i have to spend most of my time on college stuff it gets me stressed cuz its my last year and i want to make the most of it. So far the year is great.
Phil Chapman is a great guy, we sit next to each other in precalc and we always are able to laugh, and if either of us needs help the other is there to help.
