Democracy?
This is an interesting documentary by HBO films examining vote machines in America. This is not a liberal or conservative issue, but a concern all of us should share (especially in light of 1984). This is the first nine minutes. You can see the whole thing via Youtube.

i definitely agree with ed on this. i, like him was really skeptical on these machines prior to watching this documentary. this film makes me question our elections and if history has been changed because of electronic voting. during any of the elections with electronic voting how do we know that any of them have been tampered with. how can we trust these electronic voting machines that can be altered without anyone knowing. this documentary only adds to my skepticism of our government. if what ed said about the government not looking into the machines before buying them is true, then i can't even find the words to fit about how stupid it makes the government seem. this topic definitely stresses me out as a citizen, when in the next year i will have to question whether or not my vote will even matter if the machines don't count the other peoples' votes correctly.
