Are You Scared of the Future?

So what will happen to you all after you graduate this Spring? Do you have big plans? Little plans? No plans?
Tomorrow, the guidance counselors will come and talk to us about next year. Before they arrive, it is important for us to think about what we want to do. Please blog a reflection on what you plan on doing next year. Discuss your ideal plan, a plan that is less ideal but still pretty attractive, and a plan for a future in which things don't turn out as you hope.

I always appreciate it when you read and respond to each others' blogs.

Maybe we could start the Jacqui college fund.

leigh- do you hate thinking about the future because you love the present? I think you'll have a blast after high school.

yeah... future shmuture. i'll probably go to college if i ever get around to applying GAH. thats the scariest part i think. i agree with leigh- if you ever want to get a good job these days, college is the only way to do it. things people used to be able to do with just a highschool degree now require at leeeaaast an associates degree. crazy world.

I love all the undecideds, i wish i could still be one of you. I was bothered to death with people asking the questions, you know, "where you going?", "What are you doing?", blah blah blah. So i sat down and thought about it, what do i love, is money going to be an issue, all that. I have almost completely decided that i wish to become a physical educator. I want to be the one that is walking down the field screaming "Thats butter!", and "YAHTZEE!". So i have narrowed my choices down to a few schools, i would love to go to Ithaca College but money is a factor, There are two good SUNY schools that my parents can financially afford, Brockport, and Cortland. My sister went to Brockport and i don's want to follow in her footsteps, but i also want to get away from home and Cortland is not far at all. Brockport however is a good 2 hours away, so i dont know we'll see when i figure it out.

I have no idea... maybe... um... comunity college for a few years, one at least, to get some basic courses I'll need. Then I'll just go wherever I can to take the rest of the courses I need and get myself a degree in video game design. Hopefully...

i always have wanted to go south for college...somewhere like vt, but the more college approaches the more i think about staying closer to home. my main goal is to play baseball in college. ive thought about going to ithaca college to play baseball. my brother goes to ic and is on the baseball team, and i think it would be cool to play on the same team as my brother. for my major, i want to do something in business, but i could always see myslef following a path like Rusty with phyical education. my uncle stu is the gym teacher here at lansing, and i can see myself following in his footsteps. as for the people who dont like thinking about the future, im the opposite. im real excited to be going to college.

well....my real only BIG plans for my future is to be the first of my dads kids to graduate and go to college...its a pretty big deal...i want to graduate college because none of my sisters graduated high school neither did my older brother...i want to graduate college because obviously they didnt go...and my dad did drop out (though hes very sucessfull as an insurance agent) my mom is the only one in my immediate family to go off to college...but i do have to agree with leigh, i dislike this blog because the fact that everyone i mean everyone will have something happen thats going to change their future plans that they have set and theres nothing we can do about it...we just have to prepare and hope for the best..but yea im proving everyone wrong..especially my mom who thinks im just going to drop out and have five kids...(i have 13 nieces n nephews my sisters/brother started in their teens, so turning 18 this firday n not having one ive already beaten one of my "future" goals in life!

Ok my future, my plans of what to do. I have lost count of how many people have used that question as a way to start convorsation with me. Im not a lansing hater, i like lansing, but there is so much more out in the world, and it wouldnt be fair to myself not to give it a chance, so yes i am leaving lansing. College is a must, i dont know what i would do if i dont go to college, kinda scary. I want to study Business Operations Management, but as everyone says, once u go to collge you change your mind on what you want to study and major in. I want to swim in college, but unlike my fellow aqua man, Hans, im not the best, i would to go to a decent swim school, possibly Benteley in Boston. I love the west and maybe i might hide in kevvys suit case and get a free ride to reno, nah, screw reno, im going straight for Las Vegas.

Extra Credit: Does anyone know what is legal in Nevada but not in most all other states?
